If there’s one colour we’ve all gotten really used to seeing here in Aberdeenshire it’s grey. From the granite city centre to the ash-coloured skies above, we can usually count way more than fifty shades of grey. But not lately…
As you might have noticed, things in Aberdeen have been a lot brighter these past few weeks. While summertime typically misses our wee part of the world, this year we’ve hit the jackpot. Azure skies littered with fluffy white clouds, temperatures teetering in the mid-twenties, and best of all? Hardly a rain shower in sight! It’s been pure bliss and everyone has been in a better mood for it – including our Hog Roast Inverbervie gang!
You see, when the weather is on its best behaviour, the bookings come flooding in. And we’re never happier than when we have a diary packed full of fantastic events to cater for! So, when the sunshine first appeared, we knew we were in for a belter of a time.
BBQ’s, corporate picnics, garden parties and beyond – you name it, we’ve seen and done it all this past week. And with the heatwave set to continue for the foreseeable future, Hog Roast Inverbervie has got even more open-air celebrations to look forward to.
Over the weekend, we’re excited to assist with an outdoor cinema showing of Mamma Mia. With temperatures expected to climb to a toasty 27 degrees and the event planners promising an unforgettable hog roast feast with all the trimmings, the event has sold out of all 300 tickets. With that many mouths to feed, Hog Roast Inverbervie certainly has high standards to meet – but we’re not worried.
We’re used to catering for large-scale events and there’s never been a time when our hog roast sandwiches haven’t made an event better. And we’re confident it’ll be the same this time around!
Adding a refreshing touch to our wholesome and hearty hog roast cobs, we’ll be serving cool and creamy coleslaw and mixed fries on the side, plus a vegetarian-friendly alternative of grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers (minus the halloumi for the vegans) with flatbreads and tzatziki dip.
