A Haunted Happily Ever After: Hog Roast Banff Caters For A Spooktacular Halloween Wedding!

Hog Roast BanffAs self-proclaimed horror enthusiasts with a flair for the dark and macabre, Jenny and Ivan saw their wedding as the perfect opportunity to showcase their unique tastes. For them, nothing was more fitting than a Halloween wedding!

After months of meticulous planning, the couple transformed their dream into reality, and Hog Roast Banff was privileged to be part of this spooktacular celebration on Halloween night.

The evening unfolded at a lavish castle, the perfect setting for Jenny’s enchanting vampire bride fantasy. Departing from traditional wedding norms, the couple donned stunning jewel-toned outfits while their guests embraced the theme in elegant black ensembles.

Following the ceremony, guests entered the grand dining hall, where they were greeted by moody floral arrangements, variations of skulls, and black balloons that set a spooky yet stylish tone for the evening. Hog Roast Banff took care to match the gothic vibe, dressing each table with crisp black tablecloths, real crockery, and cutlery, ensuring that every detail reflected the couple’s vision.

For their wedding meal, Jenny and Ivan had chosen to treat their 110 guests to Hog Roast Banff’s ever-popular Formal Wedding Catering Menu. The feast kicked off with a tasty selection of canapés, presented on bamboo boards and served by our attentive catering staff.

Guests mingled and delighted in the handmade gourmet sausages, beer-battered mini fish and chips, roasted halloumi and tomato crostini, smoked Scottish salmon, and chicken satay skewers.

Once everyone was settled and still buzzing about the canapés, Hog Roast Banff served a warming homemade soup starter accompanied by crusty bread rolls and creamy butter. Then came the pièce de résistance: a buffet featuring slow-roasted pork with all the trimmings; whole-roasted sirloin of English beef with Yorkshire puddings and rich red wine gravy; and a meat-free option of BBQ-pulled jackfruit served on gluten-free rolls with vibrant vegan coleslaw.

To complement this impressive spread, a choice of salads, coleslaw, and buttery new potatoes added freshness and flavour. Guests couldn’t resist going back for seconds—and even thirds! The deliciousness was just too good to pass up!

And what’s a wedding without dessert? When Hog Roast Banff unveiled a dessert banquet featuring vacherins of strawberries drizzled with passion fruit cream and a decadent chocolate torte, the guests practically swooned with delight!

Jenny and Ivan couldn’t have been happier with the service we delivered, and we were absolutely thrilled to be part of such a unique celebration.
