Hog Roast Aberdeen Serves A Crowd Of 400 Guests At Bristow’s Big Event!

Hog Roast Aberdeen recently made an appearance at Forties Road Dyce, which, as you might already know, is Bristow’s local base! Now, before you get too excited, we weren’t there to fly a helicopter (we’ll stick to our catering van, thank you very much!) but for a chance to feed 400 hungry guests.

With a legacy spanning more than seventy years, Bristow Helicopters is a fascinating company with humble roots. What once started as a small business intended to support gas and oil companies by transporting crew members to the rigs in the Persian Gulf has today become one of the largest civilian helicopter businesses in the world. As such, this industry giant has plenty of reasons to celebrate all the year round, and Hog Roast Aberdeen is thrilled to have been included in their most recent shindig.

While catering for 400 guests might seem like a mighty feat, for Hog Roast Aberdeen’s catering manager, Steve, it was just another day in the field. Taking the lead on this massive event, he made sure the team worked together seamlessly and that everything was ready to be served bang on 12pm.

The results were off the charts. Guests were treated to a choice of succulent pulled pork paired with crackling, stuffing and applesauce on gluten-free or wholemeal buns or vegan-friendly grilled vegetable kebabs with tzatziki dip, sweet chilli sauce, flatbreads and optional halloumi chunks. We also served up our BBQ-pulled jackfruit sliders with plant-based ‘slaw which exuded hickory goodness!

For convenience and to avoid a huge pile-up of crockery, everything was served on disposable plates with napkins, which made it easier for the guests to tuck in while on the move. This gave them the chance to explore all of the entertainment options on offer, which included a Mr Whippy ice cream van and a face painting stall – which our bubbly catering staff were just as eager to get in on!

Hog Roast Aberdeen had a blast catering for this event and are thrilled to have met so many fascinating people across the day. We’d do it all over again in a heartbeat
