There are few things more exciting than a wedding, but planning them is a level of stress that really takes the cake! Between picking out a classy colour scheme and making table plan arrangements; to finding the perfect venue and caterers for the big day, it’s no wonder brides and grooms always seem so on edge in the run-up to their nuptials. Luckily for bride-to-be Samantha, she stumbled across the Hog Roast Aboyne website while scouring the internet for local caterers, and after reading through our testimonials she quickly got in contact with our friendly customer service team.
Planning to celebrate her big day at the historic 19th-century estate, Ballogie House, which after being recently renovated earned itself the title as one of the most romantic wedding venues in Scotland, Samantha was looking for a mouth-watering menu to match the traditional style location. After talking through our bespoke wedding packages with our expert catering manager John, Samantha chose our very popular wedding menu 3, but asked for some dishes from our other menus to be incorporated as well as a child-friendly option of gourmet hot dogs and chips which the team was more than happy to do for her.
Turning up at the estate with hours to spare before the serving time, our team quickly made their way into the reception hall where they began cooking up a storm and decorating the tables with crisp white tablecloths and pastel centrepieces. Just in time for the arrival of the newlyweds and their 80 guests, the Hog Roast Aboyne team served up a tantalising buffet of whole slow-roasted pig with applesauce, stuffing and crispy crackling; spit-roasted chickens with chipolata sausages and the added option of Texan 24 hour beef brisket which was borrowed from our southern slow roast menu. The team also made sure that each table was served with tea and coffee using real crockery which was a huge hit with the guests.
The food went down a treat and with the catering left in the capable hands the Hog Roast Aboyne team, Samantha and her partner were able to relax and enjoy the weeks before the special occasion knowing that everything was being handled, and on the day of the wedding they were pleased to discover that everything fell into place thanks to the attention to detail and professionalism of the catering crew.
