We hope you’ve all been enjoying Scotland’s toasty temperatures as much as we have! With the weather hotter than Ibiza in some parts of the country, Hog Roast Cottown has been absolutely inundated with requests to cater for outdoor events, which has kept us extremely busy lately.
Most days, we’ve been on the road travelling here, there and everywhere to help our lovely customers and clients soak up the sunshine with some sensational scran. And the latest to enjoy our services was the wonderful Alana!
Alana and her husband, Joe, are expecting a bouncing baby boy in a few short weeks and had asked for us to cater for their baby shower. As this was the last party before their little one is due to arrive, they really wanted to let loose and enjoy themselves – and make sure their guests did too!
They went all out, arranging party games, making up goody bags and one of their musical friends had even offered to perform a few sets on their guitar. All they needed was a great meal to top it all off – and Hog Roast Cottown didn’t let them down.
With 65 guests attending and varying dietary requirements to cater to, Hog Roast Cottown had recommended our Gourmet BBQ Menu, which always goes down a storm. Especially when the weather is nice! Alana and Joe loved the sound of the spread and happily gave us the go-ahead to serve it at their event.
Fast-forward to the day of the baby shower, guests flooded Alana and Joe’s home with gifts and great vibes. Their treat in return for coming was full access to the bottomless BBQ spread that Hog Roast Cottown had spent all morning preparing.
Handmade beef burgers made from quality cuts of Scottish beef were definitely the main highlight. Served on soft rolls with melting cheese and fried onions, the guests fell in love at first bite! Of course, a BBQ is more than burgers and ours had sausages, chicken kebabs and spareribs, plus veggie skewers and meatless burgers, to ensure everyone felt included.
Our vibrant salad options, coleslaw and mixed fries rounded out the spread perfectly, adding flavour, colour and crunch that had guests reaching for seconds.
Alana and Joe’s baby shower was everything they could have hoped for and more – thanks in no small part to Hog Roast Cottown
