When Tom called Hog Roast Peterhead a few weeks back, it was to book us for a hog roast at the pub where his dad Oliver is the landlord, as they would be holding a fundraising event there. With a quiz and various games planned, they were hoping to raise plenty of money for charity, and as they had both tried our delicious food in the past themselves, they thought that our pigs in buns made from a hog roast would be an ideal way to entice customers and raise even more.
We’ve spent many years catering at all kinds of functions like this, as well as private parties, weddings, and corporate hospitality, so we’re experienced in just about any kind of party or event that you can think of. With Hog Roast Peterhead at the helm, cooking amazing hog and spit roasts, you’ll impress your guests no end and you may well be surprised about the cost, too. This kind of food goes a long way to feed a large number of guests, and for a charity event like this, Tom and Oliver were hoping there would be lots of people for us to cook for on the day.
At the weekend, it was time for our Hog Roast Peterhead chef and team members to head to the pub to meet with Tom and Oliver and to set up our equipment outside. The chilly weather never deters us from doing a great job and especially once we start cooking a hog roast, as the heat from it warms us up in no time at all. Before long, our chef had prepared the meat and it was then sizzling away in our trusty hog roast machine for hours on end. The machine does all the hard work but we watch over it to ensure that it cooks properly all over and inside and out, and creates gorgeous crackling on the outside and lovely, moist meat on the inside.
By 12pm, the fundraiser was in full swing and not long after, our team members were serving scrumptious pigs in buns to lots of hungry customers.
