It’s that time of year when barbeques across the country start to come out of hibernation after spending winter in the shed, and whilst Shelley always loved a good barbeque, she didn’t want the bog standard burgers and hot dogs for her 40th birthday party. She wanted her party to still capture the fun and sociable atmosphere of cooking in the garden, but she was looking for something much higher in quality when it came to the actual food. This is why she hired the Hog Roast Macduff team, to provide some of our superior slow-roasted pork and our contemporary take on barbeque classics!
Shelley also asked us to provide some of our superior hand made gourmet sausages, as well as some refreshing summer salads, including classic Caesar and more exotic crispy Thai salads, as well as a taste of the Mediterranean with a tomato and mozzarella salad. As two of her 50 guests were vegetarian and one had a gluten-intolerance, we also rustled up some grilled halloumi kebabs and provided some gluten-free bread rolls. Here at Hog Roast Macduff, we always aim to be as considerate as possible when it comes to catering for different diets, which is why even though we are meat specialists, our food can be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of their tastes or requirements!
Shelley certainly got the barbeque buzz in terms of the atmosphere as her guests arrived and everyone gathered around to watch the delicious ethically-reared pork in the final stages of its slow-roasting process! Our buffet service meant Shelley could have the relaxed and interactive vibe she was hoping for, whilst at the same time treating her guests to some extra special food as they helped her to celebrate her 40th birthday, as well as a bit of theatre as our sociable chef carved the meat in front of everyone!
The sun was shining (luckily!) and everyone was having a great time as they tucked into the food. Shelley was thrilled with how her party went and she was very grateful to the Hog Roast Macduff team for giving her a barbeque birthday treat that she would never forget!
