As people who work in the hospitality industry are taking tentative steps towards re-opening and getting back to normal, pub and restaurant owners are looking for ways to attract people to their venues whilst ensuring everyone is safe and socially distanced. When landlords Ben and Sarah got the good news that after several months of uncertainty their pub was allowed to open up again, they decided they wanted to put on a special event to celebrate and
welcome their regulars back. Being lucky enough to have a large beer garden, Ben and Sarah made the decision to only make their outdoor space accessible to their patrons for the time being and operate with a limited food menu. For their big re-opening night though, they wanted to do something special and provide some high-quality food for their guests that could be prepared outdoors. They thought a hog roast would be ideal and they approached the Hog Roast Dounrey team about hiring a machine. After discussing their requirements, we advised them that our robust Titan machine would be ideal for them! They were used to catering for lots of people, but they had never cooked a hog roast before, and they wanted a machine that was simple to use whilst producing impressive results. They loved how straightforward it was to set up and use and they also appreciated how easy the Hog Roast Dounrey team made the whole process. We delivered it to their premises, talked them through everything they needed to know with regards to operating the Titan machine safely and correctly, and after having a chat with us on-site, we could tell they were feeling much more relaxed about the whole thing. When we came back to collect it the next day, they told us how successful their event had been! Everyone who had pre-booked had attended and had a lovely time in the beer garden having a much-missed pint and tucking into their fabulous hog roast feast! Ben and Sarah loved being back in action, and their re-opening event was made all the more enjoyable for them thanks to Hog Roast Dounrey’s Titan machine!
