Hog Roast Durness at half term Kids Club Halloween party.

Half term is upon us and at such times lots of parents send their children to Clubs during the week, to keep them entertained and busy. Hog Roast Durness’s latest event was none other than feeding a hoard of hungry teens at a Halloween party that had been organised by Club coordinator Natalie.

Hog Roast DurnessClient Natalie worked with the Hog Roast Durness team to come up with a buffet menu that would be fun and full of tasty treats for the ghoulishly dressed teens. As part of the catering package put together between Natalie and the team, all the dishes for the lunchtime meal were created by friendly and experienced Chef Craig. The Hog Roast Durness team would also provide the 15 rambunctious young guests with high quality disposable crockery and cutlery to use at the meal, these utensils were then responsibly disposed of by the team at the end of the event.

Experienced Chef Craig arrived at the spacious Town Hall venue several hours before the 1pm serving time. There was plenty of outdoor green space for him to set up the cooking equipment, catering gazebo and lights. Every single dish included in the buffet was created fresh and by Craig’s experienced hand, so that when 1pm arrived the spookily dressed teens were able to tuck into a piping hot buffet.

Client Natalie was very keen for the food to include a whole variety of dishes, so that the meal would have something for everyone to enjoy. There was a local free range chicken that was slow spit roasted and served with chipolata sausage, onion gravy and homemade stuffing. There was also a tray of grilled vegetables in soft wraps, as well as BBQ pulled jackfruit. Finishing off the buffet there was Chefs choice of 3 fresh salads and a big platter of chips, which were a combination of regular potato and sweet potatoes. There was of course also an assortment of soft wraps, rolls, dips and sauces.

The guests absolutely loved the buffet! They descended in their droves to tuck into the tasty treats and it wasn’t long before it had all been thoroughly enjoyed. Chef Craig quietly tidied away, discreetly taking away all the cooking equipment and waste/rubbish.
