In the lead-up to her husband David’s 60th birthday party, which went ahead on Sunday afternoon, Rhona had come to Hog Roast Forgue with the hope of being able to find the perfect celebratory spread for the all-important occasion.
If you know us, then you’ll know that we didn’t le
t her leave disappointed, and after spending some time going over her goals for the party, the number of guests who would be attending, and their food preferences with our catering manager, Steve, the client managed to find a feast that checked all of her boxes!
Our famous Southern Slow Roast Menu, which includes three succulent types of meat, each of which is pre-marinated for several hours in our secret recipe rubs before being grilled to perfection, as well as a meat-free choice for vegetarian and vegan guests, plus an abundance of top-quality sides was Rhona’s pick for the occasion. And it was an excellent choice, even if we do say so ourselves!
Hog Roast couldn’t have been more pleased to present this wonderful banquet to David on his birthday, and we are thrilled to announce that he adored everything on the menu. From the tender and juicy cajun-seasoned chicken and the finger-lickin’ pork ribs to the crunchy and creamy coleslaw, indulgent mac ‘n’ cheese and vibrant salad dishes, the birthday boy was in his element – and he wasn’t the only one!
The guests were over the moon with the variety on offer, which made everyone feel included and well looked after at this event. The vegan guests were especially impressed by our BBQ pulled jackfruit buns, which are rich, tasty and full of flavour. So tasty, in fact, that even the meat lovers couldn’t resist having a taste.
Our team’s final task was to serve the birthday cake to the guests, which involved slicing the rich chocolate sponge, dressing it with fresh cream, a handful of berries and a drizzle of our homemade summer fruit coulis, which the guests all thoroughly enjoyed.
Rhona, in particular, was delighted with the service our team provided on the day of the party and the weeks leading up to it, and has promised to recommend Hog Roast Forgue to anyone in need of a reliable catering service, which means a lot to us.
