Hog Roast Gartly has something extra special planned for All Hallows Eve this year! Our Halloween-loving clients, Sara and Graham, are getting hitched, and they have placed their catering in the care of our trustworthy team – how exciting!
The pair have always had a penchant for the spookier things in life – it’s actually one of the many reasons they get along so well! So, getting married on the scariest day of the year made perfect sense for them both.
They have picked out a stunningly spooky venue for the occasion, a grand 13th-century castle, which, rumour has it, is haunted by a handful of ghosts. Now, if that’s not the perfect setting for a Halloween wedding, we don’t know what is! To make things even eerier, the ceremony will be taking place in the early evening by candlelight.
While the couple is busy exchanging vows, Hog Roast Gartly’s catering crew will be setting things up in the dining room, where our catering manager, Steve, will be in charge of making sure everything runs smoothly. He and the team will be tasked with preparing our Formal Wedding Catering Menu in time for the 8 pm serving time.
This feast will start off with a choice of prosecco or fresh orange juice and a canapé selection consisting of beer-battered mini fish and chips, roasted duck, smoked Scottish salmon, mini quiche and an Indian selection. Once the guests have had a catch-up chat and expressed their congratulations to the happy couple, they will be invited to find their seats at one of the horror-themed dining tables, where Hog Roast Gartly will kick-start the three-course meal with a bowl of homemade soup.
After that, we’ll be serving a traditional hog roast, thyme and sea salt infused chicken and grilled vegetable kebabs as the main course options, complete with a buffet of freshly made salad choices, roasted new potatoes and gourmet coleslaw. To finish, guests will have the option of indulging in our rich and tasty chocolate torte or strawberries with passion fruit cream followed by tea, coffee, mints and a slice of wedding cake.
An evening buffet is also part and parcel of this particular menu, so while the guests are dancing the night away, Hog Roast Gartly will rustle up a batch of sausage and bacon rolls.
