Jeremy owns an area of land in central Scotland, which was ideal for hosting an outdoor cinema during the summer. When the evenings are warm and long, it is the perfect weather for spending time outdoors with friends and family. As well as the cinema screen, Jeremy also wanted to hire some catering options for the evening, including desserts, hot drinks, and a hog roast. He contacted our Hog Roast Gardenstown catering manager to enquire about our menu options and he opted for our Slow-Roasted hog menu.
On the day of the event, we began by preparing our catering station at the venue. It was great weather for outdoor catering and ideal conditions for roasting the hog. We got to work slow-roasting the meat, ensuring that it cooked evenly and deliciously. The pork was accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Alongside the mains, we also provided fresh bread rolls and wraps (including a gluten-free alternative) and homemade chips. This created a delicious evening meal for the guests to enjoy.
The guests began to arrive at 18:00, ready for an 18:30 mealtime. We served the menu buffet style, with our Hog Roast Gardenstown chef expertly carving the meat. Our catering went down a treat and there was a dish for every guest to enjoy! This was such a fun event to cater for and it was great to attend something different.
