With 5 grown up children and 10 grandchildren to her name, super active grandma Margaret certainly had a lot to keep her occupied and as she spent so much time doing lots of things for her large family, they all decided she deserved a special treat for her 80th birthday. No one could quite believe she had reached that age, least of all Margaret, and despite her protests about not wanting a fuss, the family decided to throw her a surprise party and asked the Hog Roast Ellon team to do the catering!
They picked us because roast pork had always been Margaret’s favourite meal and wanting only the best from their beloved mum and grandma, they hired us because they were impressed by our reputation for being the best hog roast company in the area!
As everyone discovered when they were tucking into our superb slow roasted pork served with our trademark crunchy crackling and homemade apple sauce, our reputation is well deserved! Here at Hog Roast Ellon, we take great pride in the quality of our ingredients and we only ever source our meat from ethical suppliers and then spend several hours on-site tending to it patiently until it is perfectly cooked!
After Margaret had gotten over the shock of her surprise party, she wasted no time in tucking in herself and told us it was the most succulent and flavoursome pork she had ever tasted – praise indeed coming from a lifelong pork connoisseur!
The birthday girl had a lovely day celebrating with all of her loved ones whilst being treated to her favourite food too! Despite saying she didn’t want a fuss for her 80th birthday, she was clearly in her element surrounded by all of her family and it was a lovely event for the Hog Roast Ellon team to be a part of!
We’re glad the busy grandmother had such a good time with her nearest and dearest and we were very happy that she loved the pork so much that she ended up coming back for a third helping!
