Hog Roast Rhynie – Catering For A Festive Swing Night!

The holiday season is undeniably one of the most magical times of the year, and it seems to arrive earlier and earlier each year. But we at Hog Roast Rhynie couldn’t be more thrilled! As we embrace the festive spirit, we are delighted to see our fellow Aberdeenshire residents wholeheartedly diving into the holiday season with us.

All month long, Hog Roast Rhynie has been making appearances at Christmas fayres, and various other festive events, as well as collaborating with our valued customers and clients in preparation for their upcoming celebrations. Everywhere we turn, the atmosphere is filled with excitement and joy, and we are proud to be a part of these cherished traditions.

One recent highlight was our participation in a festive swing night, an event that served as the perfect excuse for us to present our iconic festive menu to a venue packed with over 200 guests. The evening was a celebration of music and merriment, with performers adding their unique twists to classic Christmas tunes. It was an occasion where guests revelled in the joyous melodies and indulged in the culinary pleasures that are synonymous with the season.

Hog Roast RhynieFor this special event, we served up a feast that encapsulated the comforting flavours of the holidays. The star of the evening was a whole roasted turkey, cooked to perfection, with meat that was unbelievably moist and tender. The divine meat was accompanied by fresh cranberry sauce and the soothing warmth of homemade sage and onion stuffing.

To cater to the diverse preferences of the attendees, we also offered BBQ pulled jackfruit rolls with crunchy ‘slaw as a delightful vegan alternative.

The feast continued with an array of spectacular sides, including Hog Roast Rhynie’s homemade cauliflower cheese, a medley of glazed sprouts, green beans, peas, and carrots, beloved pigs in blankets, roast potatoes, and a rich, flavourful gravy.

The grand finale of the evening featured a traditional Christmas pudding in the form of mince pies, served with indulgent brandy cream, which was complemented by the festive cheer of mulled wine. It was the perfect conclusion to a wonderful night!

Here at Hog Roast Rhynie, we cherish the opportunity to be a part of events like these, and as the holiday season unfolds, we look forward to seeing what other events Aberdeenshire has in store for us!
