Alison and her husband host a variety of themed events during the year for friends, family, and neighbours to enjoy. This January, they planned to host a cocktail night at their home, with a selection of signature drinks on offer. To elevate the night even further, Hog Roast Arbuthnott was hired to cater for the occasion with a selection of delicious canapés followed by a hearty buffet main meal. Canapés and cocktails are the perfect combination for any event, so we knew that this party was sure to be a great success and a lot of fun for the guests. Our catering manager was happy to get involved and was able to create the perfect menu for the occasion.
On the day of the party, the Hog Roast Arbuthnott team arrived at Alison’s home in the afternoon to prepare for the 8:00pm serving time. Our menu began with a selection of canapés served by our waiting staff as the guests arrived at the venue. We provided succulent duck breast, mini fish and chips, fresh salmon, an Indian selection, and mini pizzas, which allowed the guests to enjoy a variety of tastes and flavours. This was ideal for the guests to enjoy while they mingled and enjoyed a selection of drinks. Later in the evening, we served a classic hog roast, which was enjoyed in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. The rolls were served with homemade chips and a selection of salad dishes to create a hearty and delicious main meal.
