Hog Roast Tongue feeds the construction workers at new housing development!

Hog Roast Tongue’s latest event was a special lunchtime service for 150 hard workers at a brand new housing development on the outskirts of Tongue. The clients immediately knew that they wanted the Hog Roast Tongue team to provide the lunch for their hard workers after having used them before and being left thoroughly delighted by the service they received.

The catering package that the client selected for their 150 workers/guests not only included the use of Hog Roast Tongue’s finest wooden bamboo crockery and cutlery, it also included the tidying up and private disposal of all rubbish that was generated through the catering. As always this event was to the very highest of standards, there was plenty of space for the cooking equipment to be set up so that the Catering Manager and two assistants could make every single dish fresh at the location.Hog Roast Cruden Bay

As there was so many workers to feed, the team and clients agreed that a staggered service from 12:30pm until 1:30pm was a good idea. This would allow for greater distancing and all Covid-19 cautionary measures to be adhered to.

The menu for the buffet was chosen by the clients to provide their workers with a thoroughly delicious and nutritious lunchtime meal. The main, aromatic attraction at the buffet table was the Local Free Range Slow Roasted Chicken served with chipolata sausage, stuffing and homemade onion gravy. However, if that wasn’t to the guests tastes there was also a delicious vegetarian lasagne on offer as a main part of the meal. There were also large platters piled high with cous cous, coleslaw and a fresh tomato and basil salad. Finishing off the buffet was a large selection of gluten free rolls and lots of potato jacket wedges, which are always a favourite dish at any event.

The staggered lunchtime service worked a treat, so that each and every worker were able to enjoy a tasty, fresh and hot lunchtime meal. The workers and the clients were absolutely delighted by Hog Roast Tongue’s hard work, it was a lunch well done.
