Allie works as an event organiser at a luxury retirement village in a beautiful countryside setting and is often tasked with planning things to keep residents occupied and happy. With such a varied group of people, it can be hard to find tasks and activities that everyone can agree on. However, one thing that is bound to keep everyone happy is a delicious meal from Hog Roast Sauchen! Our team was hired to provide a delicious menu at their upcoming quiz night, with our catering being served during the interval. For the menu, it was decided that a classic hog roast would be ideal for the occasion, with a couple of additional dishes to enjoy.
On the day of the quiz, the Hog Roast Sauchen team arrived at the venue in the afternoon to prepare for the 6:00pm serving time. For the main dishes, we served our delicious slow-roasted hog, which was accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, we provided marinated chicken kebabs and halloumi and vegetable skewers. This variety of mains ensured that there was a dish for every taste- and more than enough to go around! For the sides, we served homemade chips, sweet potato fries, and a selection of seasonal salad options. This menu allowed every guest to create a delicious evening meal from what we had to offer, with plenty left over for seconds.
